What is a Tryout?

Vipers Club Tryouts are an opportunity for athletes to be evaluated for placement on one of our competitive teams for the 2026–2027 club volleyball season.

During tryouts, coaches will evaluate athletes on:

Volleyball skills and fundamentals
Game awareness and decision-making
Communication and teamwork
Athleticism and movement
Effort, attitude, and coachability
Overall fit within the team and positional needs

Athletes may be evaluated across multiple drills, game-play situations, and positions throughout the tryout process.

Please note that attendance at a tryout does not guarantee placement on a Vipers team. Team selections will be based on the overall evaluation process, roster needs, and coaching decisions.

Please e-transfer your $10 Tryout fee to gva.vipers@gmail.com - Please include the athlete's full name and age group in the e-transfer message.

OVA Membership (MRS) Requirement

All athletes participating must have an active Ontario Volleyball Association (OVA) Membership Registration System (MRS) account before stepping on the court.
If you are currently registered with an OVA club, no further action is required.
If you are not currently active in MRS, please register as a Tryout Player ($0 fee) before attending.
